DuoTone Custom Contrast
Coordinated Contrast Valance
This configuration lets you treat the valance as a design element rather than an afterthought. The main shade fabric forms the body, while a second fabric is used to wrap the valance or cassette. You can keep it subtle—matching the valance to the wall for a “floating” effect—or go bold with high contrast, like a navy shade body paired with a brass‑toned valance or ivory with charcoal. The valance is wrapped using our standard cassette technique with mitered corners and concealed seams, and is available on both metal and fabric‑insert cassettes.
Reverse Roll Option
Standard roller shades unwind from the back of the tube, showing the decorative face when raised. A reverse roll unwinds from the front, revealing the backing color instead. When the shade is fully raised, you see a clean roll of the backing—ideal when you want the shade to visually blend with the wall or create a deliberate two‑tone effect when partially lowered. Reverse roll requires a bit more front clearance, and our ordering system automatically checks compatibility.
Mix & Match Program
Our online configurator lets you pair any two fabrics in the library—different colors, textures, or even opacities—and preview them together. The system verifies technical compatibility (for example, both fabrics must be suitable for valance wrapping) and flags combinations that won’t work. Most pairings are fully feasible, giving you enormous creative freedom.

Commercial Branding
DuoTone is especially popular in commercial spaces where brand identity matters. A law firm might choose charcoal shades with a valance in their signature burgundy; a tech startup might pair white shades with a neon accent valance. We can match specific Pantone colors to integrate brand palettes seamlessly into the built environment.
