SpeckleTweed Collection

There is a reason tweed has remained a wardrobe staple for centuries: the melange of multi‑colored fibers creates depth, texture, and remarkable forgiveness. SpeckleTweed translates this aesthetic to window coverings, weaving together two or three shades of yarn to produce a rich, heathered surface that appears to shimmer and shift as light moves across it. The effect is subtle from across the room—the fabric reads as a solid color with depth—but captivating up close, where individual flecks of contrasting fiber become visible. This visual complexity serves a practical purpose: speckled fabrics camouflage dust and lint far better than solid colors, reducing the perceived need for frequent cleaning. Available in six heathered blends: Coastal Drift (grey + cream), Harvest Grain (beige + brown), Urban Stone (charcoal + silver), Forest Canopy (green + khaki), Denim Wash (blue + white), and Rustic Clay (terracotta + sand). All opacities, custom sizes.

Melange Color Blends

SpeckleTweed gets its character from the yarn itself—not from printing or surface dyeing. Fibers of different colors are intimately blended before spinning, the same technique used in premium wool suiting. Because the color is built into the yarn, the heathered effect runs through the entire thickness of the fabric. There’s no coating to scratch, fade, or wear off; what you see is the true, permanent coloration of the fiber.

Dust‑Concealing Pattern

Solid fabrics—especially darker ones—tend to highlight every speck of dust or lint. SpeckleTweed’s multitone pattern breaks up the visual field, making everyday particulates far less noticeable. It’s a practical advantage for homes with pets, high‑traffic areas near roads, or simply for people who prefer not to dust constantly. Even when you do clean, the speckled pattern hides minor water marks or vacuum streaks effortlessly.

Casual, Lived‑In Aesthetic

Speckled fabrics naturally feel relaxed and approachable. SpeckleTweed brings that easygoing vibe to family rooms, kids’ spaces, casual dining areas, and coastal interiors. The heathered texture softens the look of the window, preventing the shade from feeling too stark or formal. Pair it with natural materials—wood, rattan, linen—for a cohesive, organic aesthetic.

Coordinating Solids Available

For rooms where you want a mix of textures, we offer coordinating solid fabrics that match the dominant tones of each SpeckleTweed blend. Examples:

  • Coastal Drift pairs seamlessly with Light Grey

  • Forest Canopy pairs with Sage

This lets you use speckled fabric on large windows (where dust concealment is valuable) and solids on smaller openings (where texture might feel too busy), all while maintaining a unified palette.

Full Opacity Range

SpeckleTweed is available in:

  • Light‑filtering (5% openness)

  • Room‑darkening (80% block)

  • Blackout (100% block)

The blackout version uses the same heathered face with a concealed blackout interlayer. The pattern appears slightly more subdued due to the fabric density, but the signature speckled character remains clearly visible.

Solution‑Dyed for Fade Resistance

Every SpeckleTweed fiber is solution‑dyed, meaning pigment is infused into the liquid polymer before extrusion. This locks color inside the fiber for exceptional fade resistance, even in intense sunlight. The collection is rated Class 5 lightfastness (excellent), and we warranty the fabric against significant fading for 10 years.
