SenseBlinds Automated Shades
Works with All Major Platforms
SenseBlinds shades are built for true interoperability, not lock‑in. Our Wi‑Fi motors integrate directly with Alexa, Google Assistant, and Siri Shortcuts—no extra hardware required. Zigbee motors pair natively with Amazon Echo Plus, SmartThings, Hubitat, and Home Assistant. Z‑Wave motors are certified for Ring, Wink, Vera, and ADT systems. For mixed‑protocol projects, a universal bridge can translate between ecosystems so every shade behaves as one unified system.
Battery or Hardwired
Battery motors feature an integrated rechargeable lithium‑ion pack that lasts 3–5 years with typical use (about two cycles per day). The app provides low‑battery alerts, and an optional solar trickle‑charger can extend battery life indefinitely. Hardwired motors run on 24V DC via plug‑in transformers or in‑wall wiring. They offer unlimited runtime and zero maintenance—ideal for new builds or high‑traffic rooms where shades move frequently.
No Hub Required (Wi‑Fi)
Wi‑Fi models connect straight to your home router like any other smart device. Download the free iOS/Android app, follow the pairing steps, and you’re ready to go. There’s no hub to buy, no bridge to install. The app supports unlimited shades, custom scenes, schedules, and shared household access.
Sunrise/Sunset Automation
Using your home’s GPS coordinates, the app calculates precise sunrise and sunset times for your location. You can automate shades to rise at sunrise for a natural wake‑up and lower at sunset for privacy and energy savings. The system automatically adjusts for time zones and daylight saving changes.
Group Control & Scenes
Group multiple shades so they move in perfect unison—ideal for large rooms with several windows. Create scenes such as:
-
Movie Night — blackout shades down, sheers up, lights dim (with compatible lighting)
-
Afternoon Cool‑Down — lower west‑facing shades when the sun hits
-
Thermal Mode — trigger shade movement when a temperature sensor exceeds 78°F
Scenes can be activated by voice, app, schedule, or sensor input.
Vacation Mode
When you’re away, the system can randomize shade movement to mimic natural usage patterns. It learns your typical behavior and replays it with subtle variations, creating a convincing lived‑in appearance. Activate with a single tap; it automatically disables when you return.
Signal Repeater Built In
Every OmniSmart shade acts as a Zigbee or Z‑Wave mesh repeater, strengthening your smart‑home network. In larger homes or areas with weak coverage, adding shades can actually improve connectivity for other devices—no setup required.
