Atelier Light Filtering Collection

For clients who demand the very best, the Atelier Collection represents the pinnacle of light‑filtering roller shade design. Here you will find fabrics sourced from the finest European mills—Milan, Lyon, Barcelona—featuring intricate weaves, multi‑color heathered yarns, and natural fiber blends that cannot be replicated by mass‑market producers. These are not commodity shades; they are textile investments, each roll woven with decades of artisanal knowledge. The collection includes linen‑cotton blends with authentic slubs, mercerized cottons with a subtle sheen, and bamboo‑viscose weaves that drape like silk. Light transmission is precisely calibrated to each fabric’s unique construction, ranging from 3% openness (privacy) to 12% openness (view‑through). Every shade is custom‑crafted in the USA to your exact measurements, with the option of quiet motorization and concealed hardware. For design projects where the window treatment is as important as the furniture.

European‑Sourced Materials

The Atelier Collection is built from textiles sourced from three of Europe’s most respected mills:

  • Mila Schön (Italy) — celebrated for mercerized cotton weaves with a luminous, silky hand.

  • Libeco (Belgium) — a heritage linen mill producing some of the world’s finest flax fabrics. Our Libeco shades are 100% linen, unbacked and untreated for a pure, breathable, naturally textured finish.

  • Veratex (Spain) — experts in bamboo‑viscose blends that drape like silk while using rapidly renewable fibers.

Each fabric is produced in limited quantities and chosen for its distinctive aesthetic and performance qualities.

Heathered Multi‑Color Yarns

Heathered yarns are created by twisting fibers of different colors before weaving, producing a surface with depth and subtle movement. The color shifts gently depending on the light, adding richness without visual noise. Atelier offers heathered blends in:

  • Coastal Fog — blue‑grey with silver

  • Dune — beige with cream and taupe

  • Moss — olive with bronze

These fabrics disguise dust beautifully and bring quiet sophistication to minimalist interiors.

Bespoke Color Matching

For designers working with custom palettes, Atelier offers bespoke color matching on select bases. Minimums typically start at 50 yards. We can match any Pantone, Sherwin‑Williams, or Benjamin Moore shade, and the fabric is woven to order in Europe with an 8–10 week lead time. Your custom color is archived for seamless future reorders. This service is exclusive to the trade.

Limited Edition Seasonal Palette

Twice a year, we release a limited‑edition capsule of Atelier fabrics in trend‑forward hues. Past seasons have included Dusty Rose, Verdigris, and Ochre. These colors are available for one year only—once they sell out, they’re retired permanently. Trade subscribers receive early access to each seasonal launch.

Natural Fiber Options

While most of our collections emphasize performance polyester, Atelier includes natural‑fiber light‑filtering fabrics for clients who value sustainability and tactile authenticity:

  • 100% Linen — breathable, textured, biodegradable; softens and gently fades over time

  • Bamboo Viscose — silky drape, excellent dye absorption, grown without pesticides

  • Hemp Blend — exceptionally strong, low‑impact cultivation, naturally heathered appearance

These unbacked fabrics allow light to pass through the weave in a warm, organic way.

Concealed Hardware Standard

Every Atelier shade includes our Architect Cassette or Fabric Insert Cassette as standard—no visible brackets, no exposed headrail. The cassette is custom‑colored to match your fabric or wall, and motorization (if selected) is fully hidden. The bottom bar is wrapped in matching fabric for a seamless, gallery‑worthy finish.
