BL21 Jacquard Pattern Zebra Shades
Woven Jacquard Construction
Unlike printed patterns that sit on the fabric surface and can fade, peel, or distort over time, BL21’s motifs are woven directly into the fabric. A jacquard loom controls each warp thread individually, enabling intricate, curvilinear designs with remarkable precision. The pattern emerges from the interplay of shiny satin floats against matte woven grounds, creating depth and dimension. Because the pattern is structural—not applied—it will never wear off or wash out.
Patterns on Both Bands
Most patterned zebra shades limit the design to the opaque bands. BL21 extends the jacquard motif to both the sheer and opaque bands, ensuring visual continuity whether the bands are aligned or staggered. The sheer bands use a slightly lighter pattern density to maintain light transmission, but the motif remains clearly visible and cohesive.
Three Timeless Patterns
BL21 offers three classic jacquard motifs, each scaled for residential windows with repeats of 12–18 inches:
-
Acorn — Organic, asymmetrical foliate motif; relaxed traditional
-
Medallion — Symmetrical floral medallion; formal and classic
-
Stripe — Vertical satin stripes on matte ground; transitional and versatile
These patterns add subtle sophistication without overwhelming the room.
Tonal Color Palette
BL21 patterns are tonal, created through weave structure rather than contrasting colors. From a distance, the fabric reads as a soft solid; the pattern reveals itself only upon closer inspection.
Color families include:
-
Neutrals: Ivory, Greige, Silver, Charcoal
-
Jewel Tones: Navy, Burgundy, Forest, Aubergine
All colors are solution‑dyed for long‑term fade resistance.
Light‑Filtering & Room‑Darkening Only
BL21 is available in light‑filtering and room‑darkening opacities. Blackout is not offered, as the jacquard weave is too open to accept a laminated blackout interlayer without compromising the clarity of the pattern.
Custom Pattern Matching
For multi‑shade installations, we offer pattern matching to align the jacquard motif horizontally across adjacent shades. This requires additional yardage and a setup fee. Our workrooms match patterns as closely as possible based on your window dimensions.
Care & Maintenance
Jacquard fabrics require gentle care:
-
Dry‑clean only
-
Do not machine wash or spot clean—water may cause satin floats to pucker
-
Regular dusting with a soft brush attachment is recommended
-
Professional cleaning every 2–3 years preserves the fabric’s beauty
