The cassette is more than a valance—it is a five‑sided metal enclosure that wraps the entire headrail assembly. The front, top, ends, and bottom return are formed from a single continuous sheet of precision‑folded aluminum, eliminating visible seams and fasteners. The shade fabric exits through a narrow, flock‑lined slot that ensures smooth, scratch‑free operation. When the shade is fully raised, the fabric is completely concealed inside the cassette.

We offer 20 standard powder‑coat finishes, ranging from matte white and silver to graphite, bronze, and textured black. For design‑driven projects, we can match any RAL or Pantone color (minimum order applies). The Architect Cassette is constructed from 1.2 mm aluminum, significantly heavier and more rigid than the roll‑formed steel used in economy valances. This strength prevents flexing on wide spans (up to 144 inches) and ensures the cassette remains perfectly square during installation. The baked‑on powder‑coat finish provides impact and scratch resistance suitable for high‑traffic commercial environments.

Integrated Motorization Pocket

For motorized applications, the cassette includes a dedicated wiring channel that routes cables discreetly to the end cap. Battery tubes can be housed inside the cassette for a completely cordless appearance (available with select motor families). The cassette also accommodates our optional snap‑on fabric valance for installations where a soft, upholstered aesthetic is preferred.
