RoHS Compliant Shades – Hazardous Substance Free
What is RoHS Compliance?
RoHS is a European Union directive that restricts the use of ten hazardous substances in electrical and electronic equipment. RoHS‑compliant products contain these substances below strict maximum concentration values (typically 0.1% by weight). While RoHS is required for electronics sold in the EU, we apply this standard to all our motorized shades worldwide as part of our commitment to responsible manufacturing.
RoHS 3 – The Latest Standard
Our motorized shades meet RoHS 3 (Directive 2015/863), which expands the original list of restricted substances by adding four phthalates. This is the most current and stringent version of the directive. All electronic components—motors, control boards, power supplies, remotes, wiring harnesses—are fully RoHS 3 certified.

No Compromise on Performance
RoHS‑compliant motors deliver the same quiet operation, long battery life, and smart‑home compatibility as our standard motors. The only difference is the verified absence of hazardous substances.
5‑Year Warranty
All RoHS‑compliant motors are covered by our standard 5‑year warranty against defects in materials and workmanship.
