OEKO‑TEX Shades – Tested for Harmful Substances

OEKO‑TEX STANDARD 100 is one of the world’s best‑known labels for textiles tested for harmful substances. If a fabric carries the STANDARD 100 label, you can be confident that every component – yarn, dye, finish, and thread – has been tested against a comprehensive list of over 300 regulated and non‑regulated chemicals. Our OEKO‑TEX Shades collection features fabrics that have been independently certified to meet the stringent requirements of STANDARD 100. For our most sensitive applications, we offer Product Class I fabrics – the highest standard, approved for babies and toddlers (0‑3 years). These fabrics are free from carcinogens, allergens, heavy metals, formaldehyde, and other hazardous substances. Available in select polyester fabrics across all our product categories: roller, roman, cellular, zebra, and sheer shades. Custom‑sized to your exact window dimensions. Certified safe, globally recognized.

What is OEKO‑TEX STANDARD 100?

OEKO‑TEX STANDARD 100 is a global, independent certification system for textile raw materials, intermediate goods, and finished products at every stage of production. It screens for substances that are legally regulated and chemicals known to be harmful to human health—even those not yet restricted by law. Testing includes:

  • Carcinogenic and allergenic dyes

  • Formaldehyde and other aldehydes

  • Heavy metals — lead, cadmium, mercury, chromium VI

  • Organotin compounds — TBT, DBT

  • Phthalates — plasticizers

  • Pesticides and chlorinated phenols

  • Per‑ and polyfluorinated chemicals (PFOA, PFOS)

Product Classes From Baby to General Use

STANDARD 100 includes four product classes based on intended use:

  • Class I — Products for babies and toddlers (up to 3 years); strictest limits

  • Class II — Products with direct skin contact (bed linens, shirts)

  • Class III — Products without direct skin contact (jackets, upholstery)

  • Class IV — Furnishing materials (curtains, table linens)

Our OEKO‑TEX fabrics are available in Class I, II, and IV, depending on the material.

Available Across Select Shade Styles

OEKO‑TEX STANDARD 100 certified fabrics are available on:

  • Roller Shades — Select smooth solids and linen‑look textures; all opacities; Class I, II, IV

  • Cellular Shades — Select 1⅛" single‑cell fabrics; light‑filtering and room‑darkening; Class II and IV

  • Zebra Shades — Select 3" band fabrics; light‑filtering and room‑darkening; Class II and IV

Not all fabrics are OEKO‑TEX certified. Look for the STANDARD 100 label on individual product pages. Roman and sheer shades are not currently available with OEKO‑TEX certified fabrics.
