Zero VOC Fabrics
Many blackout shades rely on acrylic backings that off‑gas VOCs—compounds that can irritate sensitive, developing respiratory systems. SweetDreams fabrics are GREENGUARD Gold Certified, having been tested against more than 10,000 chemicals and shown to emit virtually no VOCs. The blackout interlayer is polyethylene (not PVC), and the face yarns are solution‑dyed polyester free of heavy metals. The result is a nursery environment with cleaner, safer air.
Cordless by Default
The American Academy of Pediatrics strongly recommends cordless window coverings in all homes with children, and SweetDreams follows that guidance completely. These shades are offered exclusively with cordless lift—either spring‑assisted or motorized. There are no dangling cords, no bead chains, and no cleats to install. The bottom rail includes a soft‑touch groove sized for small hands. For added convenience, the motorized version includes a slim wand remote that can be mounted high on the wall, safely out of reach.
