Formaldehyde Free Shades – Healthier Indoor Air
Zero Added Formaldehyde – What It Means
“Zero added formaldehyde” means no formaldehyde is intentionally introduced at any stage of manufacturing. This includes:
-
No formaldehyde‑based resins in fabric laminates
-
No urea‑formaldehyde adhesives in component assembly
-
No formaldehyde‑releasing preservatives in finishes
-
No formaldehyde in dyes or pigments
All products are tested to confirm formaldehyde levels are below the detection limit of standard analytical methods (< 5 ppm).
GREENGUARD Gold Certified Options
Many of our formaldehyde‑free fabrics are also GREENGUARD Gold Certified, the most rigorous certification for low chemical emissions. GREENGUARD Gold evaluates more than 10,000 chemicals and VOCs and is specifically designed for environments where children and sensitive populations spend time. Look for the GREENGUARD Gold mark on qualifying fabrics.
