Architect Cassette System
Fully Enclosed, Fully Concealed
The cassette is not merely a valance—it is a five‑sided metal box that wraps the entire headrail assembly. The front, top, ends, and bottom return are all fabricated from a single continuous sheet of aluminum, precision‑folded to eliminate seams and fasteners. The shade fabric exits through a narrow slot lined with anti‑friction flocking, ensuring smooth operation without scratching. When the shade is fully raised, the fabric is completely hidden inside the cassette, creating a clean architectural plane.
Color‑Matched to Perfection
We stock 20 standard powder‑coat colors, from matte white and silver to graphite, bronze, and textured black. For design‑driven projects, we can match any RAL or Pantone code (minimum order applies). The cassette can be color‑coordinated with your window frame for a flush, built‑in look, or selected in a contrasting hue to define the window as a feature. For the ultimate integrated aesthetic, choose our Fabric Insert Cassette—the front face is upholstered in your exact shade fabric, creating a continuous visual flow from valance to shade.
Commercial‑Grade Durability
The Architect Cassette is fabricated from 1.2mm thick aluminum—substantially heavier than the roll‑formed steel used in economy valances. This rigidity prevents flexing on wide spans (up to 144 inches) and ensures the cassette remains perfectly square during installation. The powder‑coat finish is baked on for impact and scratch resistance, suitable for high‑traffic commercial environments. All fasteners are concealed; the cassette mounts via hidden brackets that snap into place.
Integrated Motorization Pocket
For motorized installations, the cassette includes a dedicated wiring channel that routes cables discreetly to the end cap. Battery tubes can be housed inside the cassette for a completely cordless appearance (available on select motor families). The cassette also accommodates our optional snap‑on fabric valance for installations where you prefer a soft, upholstered look over painted metal.
