Eclipse Blackout Zebra Shades
TripleCell 100% Blackout Opaque Bands
Eclipse shades use our TripleCell blackout fabric, engineered with three fused layers: a decorative face, a dense black light‑absorbing core, and a white heat‑reflective backing. These layers are ultrasonically welded into a single, durable structure. Independent testing confirms 0.00% light transmission through the opaque bands. When staggered, the bands overlap by ½ inch, creating a continuous blackout barrier with no pinholes, no glow, and no gaps.
Adjustable Light Without Raising the Shade
The defining advantage of blackout zebra shades is the ability to shift from total darkness to soft daylight without lifting the shade. Rotate the wand to align the sheer and opaque bands, and gentle, diffused light enters the room—while privacy remains intact. This is invaluable in bedrooms facing neighbors and in nurseries where you want to check on a sleeping baby without flooding the room with light.
Thermal Insulation & Energy Savings
The dense TripleCell construction provides meaningful thermal insulation, reducing heat transfer through windows by up to 35%. Eclipse shades help keep rooms cooler in summer and warmer in winter, improving comfort and lowering energy costs. The white backing reflects solar radiation, further reducing heat gain.
Noise Reduction for Quieter Spaces
The multi‑layer blackout bands also absorb sound, reducing perceived noise from traffic, neighbors, and household activity by up to 30%. Eclipse shades create a calmer, quieter environment—ideal for bedrooms, nurseries, home theaters, and any space where peace matters.
12‑Color Palette
Eclipse blackout zebra shades are available in twelve versatile colors:
Arctic White, Ivory, Sand, Light Grey, Greige, Taupe, Mocha, Charcoal, Navy, Sage, Terracotta, Black
All fabrics are solution‑dyed for fade resistance. The blackout backing is white and completely invisible from the room side.
Motorization Recommended for Wide Widths
Blackout fabrics are heavier than standard zebra materials. For widths over 72 inches, we recommend continuous cord loop or motorized operation. Cordless wand tilt is available for widths up to 60 inches.
